Kindred Spirits is the husband and wife duo of Steve and Ali
Quillen. Playing the best in traditional folk, bluegrass, and
country, they combine their diverse backgrounds and experience to form a very
complementary blend which is eclectic and appealing. Their
repertoire is also highlighted by Steve's original compositions that reflect
the influences of traditional music. Steve's extensive experience
playing both fiddle and banjo in numerous country rock and bluegrass bands is
highlighted by a successful album in 1979, Cantwell and Quillen's Dual
Impressions which received national airplay and praise from
critics. Ali's background in folk music includes appearances in
several folk groups, as well as solo appearances at numerous folk festivals and
coffee houses. Together Steve and Ali have successfully entertained
a wide variety of audiences. Anyone who has an appreciation for
acoustic music will find their presentation fresh and charming, and will enjoy
the "spirited and beautiful music" of Kindred Spirits.
