The Riverside Hotel opened in January, 1912 and was immediately recognized by the traveling public as a giant step forward in hotel building on the Eastern Shore.

Reopened in November, 2000 after extensive renovations, the Riverside offers fine dining in a warm, comfortable early 20th century atmosphere.  Against a Victorian background, choose from creative entrees, homemade soups, salads, and lucious desserts.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the Maryland, Ridgely, or Caroline Rooms, and in the Canning House Tavern, or, in season, on the Choptank deck or Main Street porch.

These rooms can also accommodate your private party from 6-75 persons.  Our service manager will be happy to help you plan your perfect party.  Twelve rooms are also available for lodging. Each has a private bath, cable television, telephone, and features king, queen, or double accommodations.  A continental breakfast is served daily in the Maryland Room, and on weekends, in the lovely Riverside Room.
